- [The staff] were surprised Mark Smith wanted to play another season. As I wrote earlier this week, I was told Smith expressed his desire to play point guard and that's a reason why he's headed to Kansas State. He would not have gotten any point guard minutes at Mizzou.
- Martin likes Braun. He's been very complimentary of him. But the way Braun has developed over the last three years Martin just doesn't see him as a starter or someone who could play starter minutes for this team. I'd expect him to transfer to a mid-major program if what I've heard is accurate.
- Mizzou's staff was recruiting Kaleb as early if not earlier than they were recruiting Kobe. Remember, Kobe had committed and signed with Texas A&M before the head-coaching change in College Station. But Martin's staff had been well aware of Kaleb before then. They like his versatility. I never got the impression the staff was worried about Kobe leaving.
