First congrats to Odom and Lock. One thing no one should ever doubt about Coach is he owns the locker room. 2 years in a row he has had teams that would quit on 90% of coaches after the starts of the seasons. After one of the worst losses in recent memory they come out and beat the number 11 team on the road and that is no small feat.
Before the year I picked this team to win 9 or 10 games. I think we all see they have the talent to do that. But a Murphy’s law combo of awful coaching, bad execution, even worse officiating makes this no longer possible. We should be 8-1 or 7-2 at the worst right now coming off back to back wins against top 10 teams. Yes I know FL is 11 but if we beat KY, FL would have been 10. I think Odom May end up being a really really good coach some day. But you can’t just wait until week 9 of the season to get your team going. I mean we should be watching the CFP rankings tomorrow and see ourselves as a Top 10 team. Mizzou is a great job because all the facets needed to win everything are available. We will never be Bama and do it every year, but every 4 years we have a team that is special. That was this year. Damn right now we should be praying for 2007 style Armageddon and getting into the playoffs. It would be a extreme long shot but it basically happened then.
This team can no longer be special but it still can be a very good 9 win team. We can and should win out. 8-4 should have us ranked somewhere around 20 and get a good not great bowl game. Hopefully a good Big 10 match up like Penn St or Mich St.
