Just to illustrate how many people are reading what gets said here:
had a chance to stop by a tailgate with a few former players today. One of them brought up a story I wrote that he thought was unflattering to him. He was good natured about it, but he did bring it up. It's been more than a decade since that story was written. (Just to be clear, it was nothing personal or intended to be mean in any way, we always do our absolute best to stay away from that)
All of the players who were there said they used to read PowerMizzou a ton in college. Said it was often the first thing they checked on Sunday morning to see what our position grades were. Said they were usually pretty close so they knew if we gave them a C or below they were going to hear it in Sunday meetings, but if it was an A or a B there was a chance the coach would think they did all right.
Was fun to catch up with some guys I hadn't seen for a long time and a good reminder that what gets said here is being read by real human beings.
Also amusing, a few of the players were asking how much they'd have been able to make out of high school if NIL existed back in their day
