There are a lot of people on the board who lack critical thinking skills clearly, the New Concerned Student 1950 thread is absurd on several levels. Do many of you idiots not realize that Black People read this board? Do many of you not realize Black Recruits and Students read this board?
Going on racist rants, coded or not coded is ridiculous.
By continuously bringing this nonsense up keeps the foolishness going, going on Racist rants only adds to the absurd events that have plagued this University. Let it go, stop talking about it, and for God Sakes stop with the racist rants and innuendos. This is America, one can be racist, sexist, homophobic if they choose too, people can protest, question, and stand up for what they believe in if they choose too. However there is zero upside of having a 5 to 6 page thread filled with racist hate toward a group of students that felt the need to stand up for injustices they felt were wrong. Everyone on the board has a right to disagree with their stance, how they did it, the fall out etc. However to go on racist rants is absurd and only continues to hurt Mizzou.
Anyone who believes that Black recruits, Parents of Black Recruits, Black students etc aren't reading this crap is not living in this reality. We are all prejudice on some level, regardless of race. There are many racial injustices that happen everyday (Google: Flint, MI), so lets not pretend this groups concerns were 100% baseless. The post on this board is showing the concerns that some of them had.
Do I agree with everything the group did, NO. Do i think they shouldn't have had the right to protest, NO. Do I believe at the core of their dissatisfaction there is truth, YES. However, instead of going on racist rants, blame Wolfe, he could have ended this easily if he would have been proactive in not letting this reach the Epic level it did, that was his job, he was paid to stop this from becoming a national story. Once Ferguson happened, the Mizzou admin should have immediately reached out to all minority groups on campus and work with them to stop any fires from happening on campus.
Wolfe was incompetent, along with other leadership. It is up to the leadership on every college campus in America to put out all kinds of fires before they become Infernos.
