Dumping all my thoughts in one place
1) We scored on 5 of 8 drives. 1 punt, 1 bad 4th down play call, and 1 downing fumble.
Pretty incredibly bad football IQ of some fans to think Drink’s play calling was bad. Scored 5/8 with a 1 time starting QB, a FCS level Starting RB, and a RB that would get knocked over in a strong wind, a lackluster WR group, NO TE’s.. idk what Kibet Chepyator is but sounds like a dinosaur not a TE..
2- Our Defense was decimated and we held Army to 24 points.. our offense is getting some criticism mainly because Army’s offense churned clock the whole 2nd half and kept us on the sidelines
3- Brady Cook was poised, accurate, mobile enough, made some plays, and didn’t F up… very solid first start with limited time… had a bad throw/read on the 2 point try and should’ve handed off on our second trip to the red zone. Thought he was outstanding.. and how about that last drive. Very impressive
4- barring a face mask we probably win that game against a 9 win team that is far from a slouch. Don’t kid yourself.. Army is a good football team and an incredibly tough matchup. Our DB depth wasn’t going to hurt us until they had to throw.. unfortunately they had to throw at the end.
5- people criticizing Drinkwitz as an OC.. I’ve argued this on this site for months

Dave Yost was great until he wasnt
Josh Henson was great until he wasn’t (and our QB’s got significantly worse)
Hell…. There was radio talk of Jerry Jones firing Mike McCarthey after week 5/6 because he HAD to find a way to keep Kellen Moore.. now the cowboys offense looks like shit.. did Moore forget? No
