Do yourself a favor ... when you hear that Gary Barnett is speaking at the Tiger Club of KC next year, make sure to come out and listen to him. He really does a great job. He flies in each year (today with a bunch of hungover Chiefs fans from Denver, he joked) just to keep in touch with Mizzou. He drew a packed house as usual and didn't disappoint.
Coach Barnett was a wide receiver at Mizzou from 1966-69. He started his coaching career with the Tigers, and would later become the head coach at Northwestern, a team he led to its first major bowl appearance in over 40 years. He also served as head coach at Colorado, where he now works as a radio analyst.
Join us next Tuesday, October 9 as Mizzou men’s basketball head coach Cuonzo Martin makes his first appearance at the Club. We meet every Tuesday at the Westport Flea Market Bar and Grill with lunch starting at 11:30 a.m. and the program beginning at Noon. We’ll hear via phone from a member of the football coaching staff, and before home games we’ll have an option to purchase a football parking pass and tickets to the upcoming game.
