SCHRADER: For Schrader, keeping the No. 1 job in 2023 could become more difficult than earning the No. 1 job in 2022. That’s how he views his challenge over the coming months.

PEAT: “He feels,” Luper said, “like he has some unfinished business.”

JONES: “He needs to learn how to play college football,” Luper said last month. “He played in West Texas where he was by far the best athlete on the field every week. And it won’t take him long to figure it all out, but he has a skill set that will complement” Schrader and Peat.
