- Previous head coach Todd Graham was fired after allegations of verbal abuse and an exodus of Warrior players, including Graham's son, into the transfer portal. Due to a combination of players leaving, injuries and positive COVID tests, they cancelled the Hawaii Bowl the night before it was to be played. - Hawaii House Representative Bob McDermott has called for a special committee to investigate the hiring process, specifically the communications with and offers to Jones.
