One has to take into account that while Horn had a live arm, his tock in high-school ran up while throwing to Travis Hunter who is odds on favorite for Heisman and can make a case for best reciever in cfb. He had another good recievernon that team and a d1 tight end as I recall. Watching Hunter, you could understand no HS kid could cover him and getting the ball in his neighborhood he would come up with it nearly every time.
Does that translate to starting qb in sec? I don't know but the jury has been out for a long time now.
Ethan Davis was his TE, Davis is at Tennessee, and Cam Pedro was the WR, who is now at SEMO.
The two best games I saw Horn play his Senior year, North Gwinnett and Mill Creek. Mill Creek had 5 star Caleb Downs at safety along with 4 star Jaiden Patterson (UNC) at the other safety, they had T Greco (MIZ) at CB, 4 Star Jamal Anderson (Clemson) at LB, Cole Mullins 3 star (Notre Dame) at LB, Their Nose Guard went to UNC and one of their edge rushers went to Syracuse.
That team was one of the best HS defenses I have seen in person. and Horn carried CH in that game.
North Gwinnet had a loaded D as well.
Hunter didnt play in either of those games.
Horn had 312 total yards vs MC throwing 1 TD
He had 309 total yards vs NG throwing 4 TD's
I have really never understood the Virtol on this site when it comes to Horn. Drink's lack of usage of Horn has been questionable at best. Multiple times Drink has had chances to put this kid into a game in 22 and 23 and gave Horn minimal chances.
Last season after declaring that the QB competition, would roll into the first couple of games, Drink gives a handful or plays to Horn in the 4th qtr, when the game was pretty much over at half time, 28-3.
The next game, against Middle Tenn, in the first half, Cook is 6 out of 10 for 57 passing yards and had 1 rushing yard, and Horn has zero snaps?
Cook had a very good season, in 23, and its no knock on Cook, but why not put Horn into some of these games? In 22 why are you putting Jack Abraham into games, that was an absolute waste.
