How does EKL stack up with Missouri HS conferences

Living just on the wrong side of the state line here in KC, my kids attend Mill Valley HS which joined the EKL a few years ago. This league is unquestionably the premier league in Kansas. Can't say for sure how they stack up against the Missouri side of Kansas City. But State championships in two of the top three classes the last three years in football leaves no doubt. And this year they are loaded again. Bishop Miege dominates 4A, Aquinas and Mill Valley have been a force in 5A with several other 5A schools right there and then the Blue Valley schools right at the top in 6A. This year Aquinas and Miege look loaded and they proved it by beating BV and BV North who are at the top of 6A polls. I know Mill Valley struggles in league play but when they get to district and state playoffs outside the conference, they do very well. I went to their game against BV West last Friday and West had a receiver named David Brown that was nearly unstoppable. Didn't see him in Rivals database.

Just was curious to get others' opinions if this is a conference that Mizzou does look at closely and if not, should they be? I know we have grabbed talent in the past but wondering if it should be more.

I know the focus is on the home state, but would love to see the other side of state line rankings. There is a strong focus, deservedly so, on the Illinois side of St. Louis. I was curious what focus there is on the Kansas side of KC, especially with the EKL.

I know we had the one poster who knew a ton about the EKL and whose son went to Mizzou. Forgive me for not remembering your PM handle. Love to get his input.
