7th place 4 points
8th place 3 points

In addition each wrestler will score one point for each match he wins on the championship side and 1/2 point for each match won on the consolation side

Championship side advancement 1 point
Consolation side advancement 1/2 point

To summarize that means an NCAA champion if he wins every match by a regular decision will score 16 points plus 4 points for advancement since he would have won four matches to get the championship bout. So an NCAA champion will score a minimum of 20 team points. If you pinned through the tournament you could score a maximum total of 30 team points

Bonus points- these apply to both sides of the bracket.

fall- 2 points
Tech fall with near fall 1.5 points
Tech fall without near fall 1 point
Major decision 1/2 point

As you can see bonus points are a very important part of team scoring. It would take five wins on the consolation side to equal one win with a pin. By the way most of the bonus points are scored on the consolation side.
