I just had a quick hallway chat with someone who has sometimes told me things that have turned out to be true.
This one would be a complete and total doozy it has any basis in reality, but he claims it's gonna be Kyle Whittingham. I have a very hard time believing that, but he swears up and down that we're already hot and heavy with his agent and that something should come out after the Pac-12 championship game.
This same guy gave me dirt about Mike Dixon a couple months before it went public, and he was also the first person to tell me we were moving to the SEC before I heard it anywhere else. Doesn't mean he's right this time, no, but having that info come from him definitely gave me pause before just completely dismissing it.
I still can't conjure a scenario in my mind where this makes sense, but there it is, I guess. Throw it on the woodpile with all the other self-proclaimed sources and watch it burn, most likely. Since it was coming from who it came from, though, I felt like I should post it here in case anyone else is hearing the same thing.
