However, Butkis, IMO, is the best defensive player in history of football and Sayers was one of top 5 backs in history, also IMO!
These two were fabulous to watch in the NFL. I never saw them in college!
I never realized these two were drafted 3&4 in "65 draft. I also never realized that neither of them ever played in a playoff game.
So, if those two could not get their team to a playoff game, why would anyone tend to think that one single player can do for any team?
