I love Drink's offensive scheme

I don't care how unpopular of an opinion that is.

Drink's offensive scheme is hell on a defense from a whiteboard standpoint. He gets in formations, in fast tempo, that nobody else in CFB gets in. I have never in my life seen a time line up in 2-TE 4x0 (quads) until Drink. That's damn near impossible to line up to that. Every single DC in football will tell you that a team similar to the Boise States of old (funky formations, motions, shifts, etc.) is much harder to defend in a week than a team that gets in standard formations running standard plays. It cuts the opposing defensive scheme in half.

Play-wise, he's making chicken salad out of chicken shit. Have you seen Bazelak's arm? I love the guy, but he's floating hitch screens to the short side of the field! He either has hands too small to grip the ball well, a noodle for an arm, or both. His deep throws can only consist of deep out routes and comebacks off of a naked bootleg action at this point. I wish he'd give the ball to Badie on standard stretch plays more, but that's my only real complaint on our play calling.

His offense is a perfect reflection of who he is as a person. When he said, "I'm just a dorky 5'10 white dude," his offense is pretty much a reflection of that. His play calls are just as snarky and goofy as he is. He's calling Statue of Liberty plays in the open field in the second quarter. Who else does that?? We call reverses like they're standard run plays. Who else does that??? We lined up in the Wing-T at completely random time in the game yesterday. Who else does that?? When we get the athletes he's recruiting, we're going to be one of the toughest offenses to defend in the SEC.
