For argument sake, let’s pretend the SEC, Big 12, and ACC play football this fall. Also, let’s pretend their is no major Covid death/illness the occurs to any player or staff member. I know, I know there are various shades of grey. But, let’s just say any illness is within the norm of what people would feel was acceptable for the risk taken.
Does anyone think the teams in those conferences get a massive recruiting advantage over every other team? I mean, there are plenty of blue bloods not playing that have lots of recruits that could decommit?
Do players from those schools transfer to one of the three conferences?
Do the players in the Big 10 and PAC-12 start to have resentment for their season being canceled?
Just curious what people think would happen. Personally, I think the three conferences playing would have a massive advantage, even teams with crap records. They can say they are playing and if nothing changes they will play next year also....that is a hell of a recruiting tool against other teams that didn’t play
