I know most of y'all can only take negatives out of the game yesterday, but there were definitely some positives. The pass protection actually kept Cook clean, with the exception of Tollison tripping over himself and getting Brady clocked. For one game it looked like all those 30 yd passes to the sidelines to gain 1 yard were thrown in the trash can. Will be interesting to see the passing chart because it definitely seemed like there were more attempts in that 5-15 yard range. That's huge because we don't have the WR blocking to be successful in jet sweeps and WR screens. My guy Mookie with a couple of catches as well.
Defensively, we played extremely well. Stayed home and didn't blow their assignments. Once Robledo entered the game, I was paying close attention to him. He was getting great leverage and was winning his marchup at the LOS. The back 7 were solid and you can win some games with those boys.
All in all, Cook looked much more comfortable and he made some really good throws. That throw he made to the TE in the endzone was his best throw of the day. That ball went right off his hands. Kudos to Drink for opening up the offense more, but the majority of y'all couldn't see that because you were looking for something to negative to run on here and post. Have a great day everyone.
