Listening to local sports radio. They are literally suggesting that teams in the upper half of the SEC not be able to take transfers but teams in the lower half should be able to. Reasoning stated was to make it more fair. WTF, lol? They probably expect participation trophies for this year too.

Since you and I both have a better chance of winning PowerBall than that happening, let them wallow in their misery.

I'm not advocating for this....but in my head at one point I actually thought it may be kind of cool if they layered it. Sort of like;

top 4 = allowed 4 transfers
5-8 = allowed 6 transfers
9-12 = allowed 10 transfers
13-16 = allowed 12 transfers

It probably works out similar to this anyway. Better teams need less help etc...

probably no need.

But what if they have more players transfer out then they are allowed to transfer in? Would they be forced to take reach high school kids just to fill their team? It's a non-starter.

I dont understand how anyone advocates removing the rights of certain individuals to make a game more fair for them.

You went the wrong direction with your political characterization of Arky fans.
This is just about football. I think he meant “communists” because of their sudden decision to make college football more equal (forced equality of outcomes.)

Of course those southerners are gonna be personally conservative. (Kinda hypocritical if you combine the two attitudes.)

Arkansas sports talk radio is the worst. Two subjects 1) Hogs 2)Missouri doesn't belong in the SEC.

As a more conservative person who believes in the free market, you still have to have some sort of regulation…

I spent a lifetime in Ft. Smith in the early '80's for a little over 2 years when they were in the Southwest Conference. They never lost a game. It was the fact that they were at that time, the only team in the conference not from Tx.

The refs cost them every win. End of story.

Now the radio talk is stupid for sure..:but Instill don’t get where the old rule denied any one rights or was unfair. They have requirements about attending class…GPA….personal conduct….drug testing. No one was denied a transfer before…but the rule was you had to wait a year to be eligible. I don’t blame players for loving the portal ….but it was just a rule like others
