Missouri set its eyes on the talent factory of Buford (Ga.) High during the NCAA Contact Period in January. Buford has continuously produced Power Four talent, but it hasn't been as active in sending players to the Midwest SEC program

In head coach Eli Drinkwitz's first three seasons of recruiting, his staff handed out three offers to Buford players. Over the past two cycles, a combined eight Buford players received scholarships from the Tigers.

Missouri has noticeably started to get more foot traffic at the Georgia high school, offering six players in the 2026 class and two in the 2027 class, and a few of those targets now have more interest in visiting Columbia this spring.
