Took this from our South Carolina board

Odom -
- record: 25-25
- year 4: 6-6
- losing seasons: 1, his first year
- win total each year: 4, 7, 8, 6

Muschamp -
- record: 26-25
- year 4: 4-8
- losing seasons: 2, his first and fourth year
- win total each year: 6, 9, 7, 4

Odom was fired because their AD said this performance wasn’t good enough.

Both took over for the winningest coach in school history. Both of the preceding coaches had had an unprecedented run of success before things fell apart in 2015 (Mizzou was 5-7, SC was 3-9). Odom, objectively, was better. He increased his win total the first three years before taking a step back this year. Muschamp's win total has dropped three years in a row. Oddly, Muschamp was 3-1 in head to head matchups, but Odom won the most recent one.

Not an argument that Muschamp should be fired or that Odom shouldn't have been, just a very interesting conversation. Also might be something to point out to the "why is Mizzou perfectly happy with mediocrity" crowd that likes to kick and scream when it doesn't have anything substantial to say.
