I want him to succeed because if he does he could be here forever and that means MU is winning 8-9 per year with the occasional 10. After 2.5 years I'm not seeing it and I don't think we are headed in right direction. When Lock is gone, is there anyone to take over at QB that any of us are comfortable with? We always knew who the successor at QB was with Pinkel. We have no idea who our next QB is. Maybe on the roster, maybe a grad transfer certainly not a true freshman.
What can we point to that indicates he is a good coach?

- Possibly a "Player's Coach" based on team reaction when he was hired.
- Got the players motivated last season to beat coachless/listless teams.
- Convinced Lock and Beckner to stay for one more year.
- Win loss record vs decent competition
- No signature win
- Only other HC job offer was Memphis
- As of yet, no proven "system"
- Consistent poor recruiting class rankings
- Inability to recruit a sought after QB
- Misses on in-state talent - 90% of the "Tiger Ten"
- Inability to attract quality assistants / coaching turnover
- Consistently bad defenses - his supposed specialty
- Poor clock management
- Poorly disciplined teams
- Inability to get team up for games
