Maybe it's just that my circle of friends is in KC. But the border war is important here. I still care about this game. All my family still does. And all my friends still do. I've lost hope that this game is going to be anything but the biggest embarrassment in the history of the war. Being non-competitive in this game is worse than losing to umkc, in my opinion.
I know this board is full of people saying they don't care about kU anymore. But it still means something to a lot of people who remember Missouri basketball. Does Cuonzo know what this rivalry used to be? Does he realize what Allen fieldhouse is going to be like to these kids he's running out there? Does the administration care that they tried for a decade to get this game back and this is the team Cuonzo built? Do the influential boosters still care about the border war?
