And I would prefer any other candidates from either party be left out of the discussion. Each individual should be judged separately (unless you are making the argument that everybody does it so it must not be that bad)
My view is that the former is a well dressed up way to do the latter less efficiently but keep yourself out of hot water. There’s no functional difference. Nobody “in the know” is going to risk getting poisoned by putting something out there that would piss off Putin. But it’s not illegal so I don’t think she should be prosecuted for anything.
