This is the kid who has committed to play football at Coastal Carolina. I know Coach Nutt is aware of him....as I heard him say everyone knows about Jones. Jones is 6"5".....probably not a skilled enough shooter to play for Dennis Gates...but was wondering if any of you NMCC guys or anyone in the area know if he has ever seriously considered basketball. NMCC played a really good Sikeston team last night. Sikeston has a soph who is 6"6" or so named Edwards who has to be on Gates' radar as well...Sikeston also has a kid that is 6"10" or so......Jones scored 33 points and 23 rebounds against them last night. Unbelievable performance. Handles the ball......shares the ball with his teammates....and puts up those stats. Back in the day Norm would be camped out in New Madrid. He is the player that Norm would sign and would guard the other teams best player 1 through 5 like Ron Jones, Moon McCrary, or Lamont Frazier.
