If you watch 810Varsity and KC radio game broadcasts, you will find him as the color commentator on area games here in KC every Friday night. He has been a staple here in KC for decades. I remember years and years ago when he was with Rivals when I first heard him come on 810 for interviews. He would take questions from the hosts as well as callers about any prospect. And without looking it up, he could recite numbers and reviews on just about any player. It was freakish how much knowledge he had instant recall on.
I recall he was with KC Star for a few years and covered the local college teams recruiting. And then moved on to Rivals when it was its infancy and was a massive reason for its growth.
If there is a Mt Rushmore for Recruiting, he would be in the running to be on it. His enthusiasm and energy for high school recruiting is as infectious today as it was back in the 90s
