Mizzou Athletics Director Jim Sterk drew a large crowd to the Tiger Club of KC's first luncheon of the season yesterday.
Jim highlighted Mizzou's Win It Right attitude, built upon the core values of Respect, Integrity, Gratitude, Humility and Together. Last year, that played out in the classroom, as 265 Mizzou student-athletes received SEC Honor Roll recognition, 332 garnered University Dean's List status for at least one semester, and 13 teams registered a 3.00 grade-point average for the 2018 Spring term.
On the field, Mizzou equaled its best finish ever in the Learfield Directors’ Cup standings, finishing 33rd nationally for the second-straight year. A record 17 of the Tigers’ 20 programs were represented in postseason competition.
The Tiger Club of KC meets every Tuesday during the school year at the Westport Flea Market. Lunch starts at 11:30 a.m. and the program starts at Noon. Our Tuesday, September 4 speaker will be @bneuner, KOMU and Fox Sports alum and author of a recent five-part series for PowerMizzou on Heisman hopeful Drew Lock.
