Jontay Porter Pleads Guilty

Jontay is to be sentence sometime in Dec, where he could get 3 1/2 or more years in prison. The question I have is part of his punishment is restitution, but I'm confused. I can understand a fine but if he used his own money, who does he have to repay? My best guess might be the return of his NBA salary, but I'll let someone explain that to me.
