What if the entire kU basketball roster was committing academic fraud? No big deal? The entire starting offense for Clemson plus the kicker?

Twelve athletes committing academic fraud is not a single, "isolated" incident.

I don't think it's a good look for Sterk to claim, "this was the action of one individual, who acted unilaterally." It was pretty obviously the actions of 13 individuals.

Whether it makes sense to punish next year's players is another matter. . . .

Seems like the problem here is that "the institution and the enforcement all agreed this was a Level 1 misconduct case involving impermissible academic benefits and unethical conduct. The case starts off with that agreement. The Association has put in place a penalty matrix." So once we agreed it was Level 1, we sunk our own ship. How can we be surprised that we got a Level 1 punishment after admitting we committed a Level 1 offense?
