I work with someone going to KC. She asked if I could suggest anything to do. Being from St. Louis I don't know a lot about KC.
I mentioned BBQ and regurgitated the things I found by searching here. I said if you like beer maybe Boulevard Brewery.
She is here for about 5 daysto visit her significant other that is working in the area on contract.
I am guessing she wants to do more than eat BBQ and drink, though, I don't know why.
I know she is into live music if there is a good venue there.
