Obviously extremely disappointing given that we got such a good opportunity to make the Sweet 16.

Staying in the zone so long/not developing good enough man to man defense to slow down Princeton of all teams is the first time I’ve thought Gates was out-coached all year.

The lack of 50/50 balls we came up with tonight was also brutal to see.

However, don’t forget that we are not a super talented team. We had too many deficiencies that were not made up for by supreme talent.

We were a team made of mid major guys coupled with Kobe. Our mid major guys had great years, but they were not insanely talented guys. They were not dominant players even at their previous schools. They fit Gates’ system and played it well until tonight.

I still love Gates and can’t wait until he can get a team full of SEC caliber players that fit his system.

That said, I hope the main focus this off-season is every aspect of defense and rebounding.

Thankful for Gates turning our program around and bright things ahead!
