A few thoughts:

1) Kentucky had the athletic advantage but their offense was basically one on one. That works against lesser teams but the Badgers played solid team defense and rebounded very well.

2) The Badgers have skill, experience AND talented big men. Plus they can pass the ball well and the open shooters hit the shot. If they couldn't pass well, fumbled the ball and then missed open shots they would look a lot like Mizzou this year. If you can't do those things well it doesn't matter what play is called.

3) Briefly mentioned above but, with few exceptions, the Badgers really did a great job with fundamentals like rebound aggressively and play defense. It was rare to see Kentucky get the wide open shots and dunks they seemingly got all season. Plus I don't remember any transition baskets (surely they had some but it was pretty sparse).

4) 'Role' players were key especially in hitting the 3. Hope CVL stretches the defense like that. Big time baskets made all night by the Badger guards.

I was cheering for Kentucky to go all the way but now will pull for the Badgers. Love watching an experienced team go to work.
