This is a good opportunity to remind the maga-folk of the alternate reality in which they live.
He got shot. He survived multiple assassination attempts.
This is the true part of you post, and nobody deserves it. But his gun policy, which he fights for rigorously, assures that assault rifles will find their way into the hands of crazy ass holes. Many Americans die because of this every year. Trump is fortunate not to be one of them.
he fought through bullshit impeachment hearings.
His first impeachment was because he solicited a foreign government to produce dirt on a political rival and threatened to withhold aid if its president didn't comply, same guy he's spreading lies about today because he's nothing if not a grudge holder.
His second impeachment was for inciting a violent attack on the US Capitol over an election he lied about losing legitimately. He watched gleefully for 3 1/2 hours as police were brutalized. When GOP congressmen begged him to call off the dogs, he ignored or taunted them. Instead, he opted to call out Mike Pence as his mob raged, further endangering him. In the end, a few lives were lost, over 100 police officers were injured (some gravely), and there was 6-digit property damage.
Laws were broken in both instances. Impeachment was valid whether you agree with the decision or not.
The GOP impeached a guy for lying about a blowjob.
He was spied on by the US gov't.
There is no evidence of this. The closest fact you could cite is that the CIA was tracing Russian phone numbers and found that calls were made to a Trump property.
However, Trump instructed William Barr to tap the phone lines of democrat congress members, and it likely happened.
He must be stealing a ton of $$$ somehow to go through all of this at his age. Is he taking a salary this time?
His salary is a joke of a token gesture. He's made a mockery of the Emoluments Clause and profited off the presidency easily more than anyone in history. It was bad in his first term, and the wheels are completely off this term. He made millions on his inauguration party alone, and with his bit coin scam, any party can move huge amounts of money to him under the table. His firings of the Inspectors General, several of whom he appointed, show he intends to rev up his efforts too.
He fought through lawfare
The legal system is weaponized against criminals. It's pretty easy to avoid its wrath.
Beyond the aforementioned Jan. 6 crimes, the other big federal case didn't even involve the fact Trump illegally took classified documents, though ironically Trump himself signed the law that made this action a felony. The crime he was being tried for was that when served with a subpoena concerning the retrieval of these documents, he had his personal assistant and another employee move around a hundred boxes offsite and then had them brought back after agents had completed their actions. This was all on video which Trump tried to destroy. It's about as clean cut of obstruction of justice crime as you can get.
Both these cases were strong, and without shenanigans in the judiciary and eventually his election win, he would have lost.
The case in Georgia was led by an idiot who disserves to be disbarred if not charged with a crime, but Trump subordinates stole election equipment and hacked into. They also lied about innocent election workers who were terrorized. Regardless of the unscrupulous prosecutor, the case was strong enough that three people plead guilty before it was halted.
The case where he was convicted was lamer than the other three, but the only one simple enough to get through prior to the election. He committed fraud to cover up hush money payments, and since the intent of the fraud was to disrupt the flow of information affecting an election, it was a felony. Some of you may be OK with all of that. The legal system was not.
And there's plenty of evidence in the NY fraud case. Here's a bit from the summary judgement:
"In defendants' world: rent regulated apartments are worth the same as unregulated apartments; restricted land is worth the same as unrestricted land; restrictions can evaporate into thin air; a disclaimer by one party casting responsibility on another party exonerates the other party's lies..." Engoron wrote, citing multiple arguments made by defense to justify the allegedly inflated valuations of Trump's assets. "That is a fantasy world, not the real world."
Such is maga's world.
