I was called out to see an injured worker. I was talking to the Safety Coordinator (have know him for 20 years, in fact he was riding with me when I got my ticket going to the Baylor/Mizzou game-when Spoon was playing)
He knows I'm a big Mizzou fan and we were talking about our upcoming season. The subject came up about the portal. I told him we are interested in 2 cornerbacks from Tulsa. Also told him I thought we had the inside tract because we just hired the Tulsa Cornerback coach.
He asked, Fletch? He did not know Mizzou had hired him. He told me he was Fletcher's roommate at Ranger Jr College. (Ranger no longer plays football) Told me me Fletcher played ball at Abilene. Where he coached at HBU etc. He did tell me he was a great roommate.
He is also friends with Luper. Has known him since Luper was at Auburn. Thought his son was playing at TCU, I corrected him. Told him he has to keep up.
Nothing earth shattering, just thought how small this world is.
