So we're losing the #1 ranked WR in the portal but it sounds like we're gaining the #3 ranked WR in the portal:

What we would be gaining is a guy with tremendous upside who won't be able to transfer for atleast 2 seasons maybe 3. That is huge. Between him and Luther-- we would have the best WR class from 2022. We just need a QB.

The “1-time free transfer” is a myth. Guys are entering the portal who have already used it and they will get waivers to play next year.

We were a QB away from 8-4 / 9-3 this season. Yes we need help everywhere but a good QB can mask alot of problems.

The guys re-entering are doing so via the grad transfer route because portal was initiated at the same time as the free “covid year” so you are seeing many being able to be “grad transfers” with more than a year of eligibility
