Did I think we’d be 10-2? No

Was I convinced about Cook, especially after Game 2? No

Was I convinced that Shrader was a legit starter? No

But that’s the point.

I thought after last year being close to 8-9 wins, and a new OC we should be good. But ended up doubting myself after Game 2.

Lessons:

Early season games don’t matter unless you lose

Teams can improve and adjust

The notion of floor and ceiling is stupid. A team is one devastating injury away from imploding. And who can predict the unpredictable.

If I said Cody Schrader would rush for 1400 yards most would have laughed.

Realism doesn’t mean reality.

Fact is Mizzou was only a few plays away from playing for an SEC Championship. How realistic was that? Turned out to be reality.
