The RSVP thread is linked here. We had to cut off RSVPs at 260 guests. If you didn't RSVP in that thread, sorry, but we've taken up all the available space.

The event will be held at King Jerry Lawler's at 159 Beale Street in Memphis. They are closing the restaurant to the public at 6 p.m. Doors will open for the PowerMizzou party at 6:30. When you arrive at Lawler's you need to let them know at the front you are there for the PowerMizzou.com Liberty Bowl party. This way they know who you are and that you are allowed. If you just kind of stumble in and don't have any idea what you're doing they're going to tell you you can't come.

We will have an initial offering of appetizers (menu TBD) available right around the time the doors open downstairs in the VIP room. This is provided free of charge by PowerMizzou.com. It is not going to be enough to feed everyone for the night by any means. It's just a little snack for people to grab when they arrive and order their first drink.

Each guest/party will be responsible for paying for his/her/their own drink/dinner. You can sit at a table with your group, you can run a tab at one of the bars, whatever. But other than the appetizers, you're paying for your own food and drink here. I'm working with the staff there to determine whether we'll have a full menu available or if we might cut it down to a handful of options to make it a little easier on their staff that night.

WWE Hall of Famer King Jerry Lawler will be in attendance at some point during the evening to mingle, take pictures, sign autographs, whatever. I don't have an exact time on his visit, but he'll stop by for an hour or two during the event.

Fincher's Findings, a printing company in Hutchinson, KS owned and run by a long-time subscriber and friend of mine has printed 200 complimentary PowerMizzou/Liberty Bowl drink coozies. Those will be handed out free of charge while supplies last at the party.

Kids are welcome until about 10. At that point, those under 21 are not allowed on Beale Street. If you want to bring your children, we'd love to have you and some of the RSVPs reflected that. But know that at 10 p.m., you're going to need to relocate. The places on Beale can stay open as late as 4 a.m. There is not a set time that the party will close. As long as there are a fair number of people hanging out and eating and/or drinking, Lawler's will stay open for us. At some point, if the numbers dwindle to the point it's not worth them staying open, they'll shut it down. I would imagine that will happen prior to 4 a.m., but I do not know how many raging alcoholics have RSVP'ed.

The staff at Lawler's has been phenomenal to deal with in putting this together. So what I am asking you is that if you RSVP'ed SHOW UP. I know things happen and I know plans change. But they're shutting down the entire place for us. They're giving up potential business to make this a big deal for us. What we owe them is to show up in the numbers we've promised and to make it worth them doing it. Have some beer, eat some Memphis barbecue, meet your fellow subscribers and the Mizzou media luminaries who will stop by throughout the evening. Get there early. I don't really want to be hanging out with 12 people until 9 pm with the guys from Lawler's looking at me like "What the hell did we close the restaurant for? So you and your buddies could have some beer?"

Feel free to hit me up with any questions you have. I'll update this original post if there is a need to do so with further information. But @mitchell4d and I will be at Lawler's by 6 p.m. that evening and look forward to seeing all of you there.
