But only because he broke traffic laws, evaded police, drove w/o a valid license, violated his probation, and failing to register as a convicted sex offender.
I was originally going to tell you all to only watch the first 8 minutes, but this lady is a really great police officer. At the end of the video, she talks to the suspect's brother, who she also had to detain. She does a phenomenal job of explaining to him every one of her actions throughout the engagement with the suspect. I'm super impressed.
Jesus Christ Almighty though...just stop resisting arrest for a change. It may not be the end-all-be-all answer, but it would stop 90% of negative police incidents. Maybe just do the non-resisting thing for like a 90-day trial to see if the numbers drop even further. This is irrespective of race BTW.
Last thing, I know I suggested a few days ago that eliminating all traffic laws would be a great way to reform policing. I've listened to several opposing opinions since then. I'm not sure it's a great idea after all. I had no idea how many traffic stops turn into much bigger busts. In this case, the officer caught a convicted sex offender who hadn't registered as such. Lost by the system, found by the police. That's a big win.
