imo, while not as sexy...a little embarrassing not picked.... but career wise the second round is a blessing.
First round QBs get big contracts so owners want them in NOW...GM picked him so he wants him in NOW...2nd round pick ? far less pressure...he can sit and learn...
If you succeed you will succeed regardless..its like post college GPA..nobody cares. Is Tom Brady less cause he was a 7 th rounder?
Blain Gabbert was a “bust” cause he was the 10 th pick..he wasnt ready...but that high pick had to play with no oline, no receivers, no running game..3 years later he is a “bust”....Lock will be just fine in the long run.
