Going to get blasted for saying this from y'all but ever since we lost Grill we are 1-8. Up to that point we may not have been a tourney team but we were 7-2 coming off the Wichita St win at home, played decent at KU riding some confidence and momentum and then the wheels came off. Coincidence or not?
You can't lose a kid with that much experience especially with this fragile team. He brought toughness and attitude which this team lacks. It may not be a correct analysis however the timing sure seems to simplify it for me.
Sadly it seems nothing will improve so I hope Gates decides to get more time for the young guys to get ready for 24-25.
