Good conversation about the overall affects on conference realignment and what it means for the Former PAC Members, on Athens Sports Talk this afternoon.

Lots of talk about what the Athletics Departments, will do with conference realignment, in terms of budgets.
Increased Travel Budgets for every sport is going to have a massive increase.

While Football, Baseball, Basketball, Softball, and Women's Soccer, will be forced to endure a rough travel schedule, at least they will remain intact.

Many Schools will look at reducing the budget or canceling sports that are currently receiving budget.

Sports like, (M) & (W) Lacrosse, Men's Soccer, Men's Volleyball, Men's Gymnastics, Wrestling, Fencing, (M) & (W) Ice Hockey, Rugby, Sailing, Skiing, Squash, Water Polo, Indoor Track, and others may find themselves without a budget after all the dust settles.

You look at a school like Cal or Stanford, they are going to have a lower Media Deal in the ACC, and according to their Athletic Department, are looking at a annual increase in their travel budget of 200-300%
There is just not going to be revenue left over for a lot of sports that have been in place for years.
