We were breaking down our tailgate site on the edge of Lot N around 7 o'clock last night when we noticed the band members in their gold t-shirts and black shorts taking their instruments back to their practice area. Dozens of members of Marching Mizzou walked right next to our site — exhausted from a long day — so we offered them pieces of candy we made available to fans throughout the day. Every single kid who took a sweet treat thanked us for the candy, most of them enthusiastically. It was just a random act of kindness, but our group was struck by how gracious these young people were about something so simple. We just want them to know how much we appreciate all they do for Mizzou!
