Was the lone decent team that BO beat. Back against the wall, after losing three games in a row to UGA, SoCo and Alabama. Then beating the piss out of Memphis. "Save my job boys, I beg you!" Give credit where credit is due. They did just that, went into the Swamp and handled business. But damn, I have a hard time believing Florida is really all that good. I don't give a crap what their ranking says beside their name on TV. For the benefit of the doubt, I'll chalk that one up as a decent win just because it's on the road, not because it was Florida.
That game was the pivotal turning point. Backtracking a little from that, let's start at the beginning of the season, shall we?
UT-Martin and Wyoming, did what any P5 team would do - Big deal
@Purdue duked it out with a middling B1G team although it was on the road and they do have some athletes. Most concerning was their backup went for 5 hundo in the air. Won it but really, really damn near lost it - Better than losing but you still don't feel great about it
Vandy, UT and Arkansas - All shit garbage teams. You should beat the piss out of all of them. Great job BO
Oklahoma State - A 6-6 Big 12 team. You knew they could score and our defense was trash so we all knew that was a recipe for disaster and they didn't disappoint. But their defense is even more trashy than ours. We should have dropped 45-50 on them. But we didn't. How do you lose a game when your team throws for 350 yards and runs for 250 more and have two interceptions that resulted in points? BO says, "Hold my drink..."
BO is good at beating all of the shit teams. Has a hard time against decent teams with nearly equal, equal or slightly better talent.
Absolutely will not beat a team he is not supposed to. Not once or twice out of 10. (being reasonable) So, get used to being 6-6 to MAYBE 9-4 (which we had a chance to be last night).
Everyone should be happy though, he got that raise he so rightfully deserved. With all 19 of his wins coming against garbage teams. Cannot let our truest of true sons walk to a "better job"
