GAME THREAD Mizzou baseball hosts Missouri State

The Tigers are looking to get a mid-week win against the Bears.

Wil Libbert is on the mound for Mizzou.

First pitch is a couple of minutes away

Libbert works a clean top of the first.

Up come Keegan Knutson, Kaden Peer and Jackson Lovich for Mizzou

Peer is hit by a pitch, but that’s it for the Tigers in the first.

Libbert looks good so far. He worked a 1-2-3 second inning.

Pierre Seals, Chris Patterson and Mateo Serna coming up for Mizzou.

Patterson sends a double to right center to score Seals from first. Tigers lead 1-0.

With the infield in, Peyton Basler sends a ground ball through the left side to score Patterson.

Tigers lead 2-0 with a runner on first and one out.

MO State has made a pitching change.

Jackson Lovich sends a grand slam the other way over the right-center field wall and the Tiger lead is up to 7-0.

The inning comes to an end with Mizzou leading 7-0.

Libbert allowed his first base runner on a walk, but is through three innings without allowing a hit.

Tigers go scoreless in the third. Then Libbert’s first hit allowed is an rbi single in the fourth.

Mizzou leads 7-1 with two outs in the top of the fourth.

Libbert gets a strikeout to end the fourth.

Tigers go down in order in the fourth.

We’re headed to the fifth.

Libbert’s day is done after loading the bases with no outs in the fifth.

Libbert ends up with four runs allowed as Drew allows a massive grand slam to right.

The Tiger lead is now 7-6 with no outs in the fifth.

Tigers go down in order in the fifth.

Onto the sixth with Mizzou in front 7-6.

Kaden Peer grounds out for an RBI to put the Tigers back in front 8-7

Jackson. Lovich then triples to bring in a run and Cayden Nicoletto puts his first hit on the board to score him.

Tigers lead 10-7 with one out in the bottom of the sixth

PJ Green is coming in with the Tigers leading 10-7 to start the seventh.

Scoreless top of the seventh. Up come the Tigers for the bottom half.

We're into the ninth with Green looking to finish the game

Green gives up a two-run home run and the Bears are within 10-9 with one out in the top of the ninth

Mizzou gets the second out, but Missouri State gets a triple.

Tying run is on third with two outs

Final: Tigers hold on to beat Missouri State 10-9

The Missouri Tigers were on the verge of a loss after having held a 7-0 lead. Then Jackson Lovich came through again.
