(Mizzou is not the defendant)
I was once told by someone that "if I had a dollar for every time someone used the race card I would be a millionaire." I've also heard that "if I had a quarter for every time someone didn't bring up race in a potential racial situation that I would be a multi-millionaire."
This girl and her family put up with this from 9th-12th grade without saying a word, probably because no one would have believe them.
Things not mentioned in the article, cut freshman year (all 5 freshman were cut); other years made it as an alternate; one year made 1st alternate and expected to perform in the absence of a dancer but was given some lame excuse that kept her out. Other girls that performed all those years in front of her also tried out for the Mizzou dance team but got cut, which really upset their instructors.
