As I have posted before, my husband is a Tulane grad, converted to a diehard Mizzou fan by marriage. In our 27 years of marriage, our alma maters have never competed against each other in any sport. We always said we would go to the game if it ever happened.
Well, we don't have the cash for airplane tickets to Orlando tomorrow for a seventh place game. Hubby is somewhere in Florida right now, on day #2 of driving his 86-year-old mother from Louisville to Miami for the winter. He'll be hanging out with his sister and mom tomorrow. He has no clue about the game because I am his sports information source. I didn't mention it when he called last night.
You shouldn't keep secrets in a marriage but maybe just this once? Whoever wins tomorrow might have family bragging rights for another 27 years. I figure if we lose tomorrow, I don't tell him anything and it will be like it never happened and he doesn't need to know. If we win, I will be sure to tell him about it in great detail.
