This will be a pretty regular thing. I'll run down the guys that have transferred and offer a quick comment
Dominic Lovett: Covered that. Looking for NIL. Had a bit to do with QB stuff, a bit to do with being a No. 1 receiver who didn't feel as if he was treated as a No. 1 receiver from what I'm told. Big loss without question.
DJ Jackson: This one was weird. Played quite a bit last year. Did not play much this year. Was suspended midseason. There was actually a time where it was believed he was kicked off the team. He was allowed back on. But he didn't play much at all this season. Seemed kind of odd to me he was so clearly down the rotation at the start of the year, but has been obvious he wasn't gonna stay.
Travion Ford: Didn't play all year. Wasn't ever going to play.
Tyler Macon: If you didn't see this coming, I don't know what to tell you.
Multiple sources have told me Mizzou had a team meeting today. At that meeting, players were informed if they planned to leave they should leave and should not play the bowl game.
There are more players that could leave both before and after the bowl game. The defensive backfield is probably the most important area to watch. Multiple people have told me that Kris Abrams-Draine and Ennis Rakestraw are guys that are considering leaving. Neither has done so at this point and it's possible neither does so. There are others I've heard as possible, but haven't heard as much so don't want to get too far into the rabbit hole of speculation.
There are a handful of guys that I'd be surprised to see back based on playing time: BJ Harris, Elijah Young, Gavin McKay, Michael Cox, Tyler Jones
Again, I don't love handling it this way, but it kind of has to be done so you guys are ready if it does happen.
