Ive has a lot of time to ponder the last couple days on positive, negatives, and just random things so i’m going to list some opinions and thoughts....
1- I want BO to be successful, but I get the feeling he won’t be.. I’m not rooting against him bc that’s rooting against my favorite school, team, and players but i just see so much that seems simple get screwed up that’s its got to fall on someone.
2- I love Drew Lock.. He’s better than our alternatives and better than the cocaine infused Mauk by his end.. but can anyone say difinitively he does one thing good other then arm strength? He threw low and behind people today A LOT.. before the rain.. Our WR don’t seem to help him but it just seems like he’s incapable of elevating those around him.
3- If ADJS is going to make a switch now seems to be the time (end of the year). Reason number 1 is that you can try for the first year recruit bump and probably get it with the new coach and the ability to sell the SEZ project. Reason 2 is we don’t have an established QB as it is so it’s not like we’re ruining a great opportunity by having change and a makeover.
4- Our secondary is so bad.. Is it scheme? We never seem to be tight on somebody. We’re far enough away that it looks like zone but we run with them so i believe we’re in man.
5- Im ready for basketball and i’m not taking Hood’s stance... but in all seriousness.. and you can help me chime in and correct me.. STL and West Illinois recruiting wise HCCM has landed Watson, Tilmon, missed on then landed Mark Smith, and Pickett.. We have missed on Ramey, Okoro, Liddell, didn’t fully go after Hargrove, Gordon. I’m not sure that’s good enough to sustain success moving forward.
