Pushing 30 offers, Landry Brede saw his scholarship from Missouri differently than the other schools interested in him.
"I don't know too much about Mizzou," Brede said, "but what made this offer stand out to me is that they are a very competitive team that I believe has a chance to compete for a national championship. That is something that I can't say for many of the other offers I have and really makes Mizzou stand out to me."
Offensive assistant Brendan Boylan extended a scholarship to Brede on Thursday. The two bonded over their home state of Ohio, and Boylan gave a breakdown to Brede of what he, offensive line coach Brandon Jones and assistant offensive line coach Jack Abercrombie liked from his junior season at Mentor (Ohio) High.
"It's good to have someone in the program that's from near my home," the Class of 2026 offensive tackle said. "I am working out a date to get there as soon as possible, so I can meet all the coaches and check out the place and see if it is somewhere I can see myself."
