Just got back to the hotel from the Rivals Camp in Dallas, I talked to nine Missouri targets that included Shamar Pearl, Rashee Rice, Enoch Jackson, Stacey Wilkins, 2020 DB Chris Thompson, 2020 WR Daniel Jackson, Stacy Brown, and Danielson Ike.
Some takeaways from the day:
- Rockhurst (Mo.) OL target Danielson Ike told me he made the long trek down to Dallas to compete against the best talent. Ike got beat on his first two reps I saw, but bounced back nicely and the rest of his reps I caught from that point on. He lined at both left tackle and guard today. I thought he performed a bit better at guard. I'll have a video interview with Ike that will post tomorrow.
- As I mentioned in the thread, Missouri seems to be in a good spot with two Texas 3-star prospects in defensive end Shemar Pearl and wide receiver Rashee Rice. The Tigers like Pearl as an outside pass rusher, Brian Odom is heading up his recruiting process. Baylor, Georgia, Missouri, and Notre Dame are the other schools Pearl is hearing from the most.
Rice was all smiles when I asked him about Missouri. Has a great relationship with WR coach AJ Ofodile and he likes Missouri's offensive production and they are not afraid to play freshman. Texas Tech, Kansas, SMU, and Minnesota are other schools in the mix.
- Legacy (Tex.) DT target Enoch Jackson had an impressive day and took home DL MVP honors. He told me that Brick Haley stays in touch with him every once in a while. He mentioned he would like to visit Mizzou sometime this spring. Oklahoma State, Houston, and Arkansas are others in the mix.
- 4-star DE Trace Ford is someone to keep an eye on. He seems to have a genuine interest in the Tigers and said he has a couple of friends whose parents know both Brian and Barry Odom and have great things to say about them.
- I noticed 2020 Bishop Miege WR target Daniel Jackson make a couple of impressive catches during 1-on-1, one of those was an over the shoulder catch where he fully extended his arms and hauled in the catch at full speed. He just picked up an offer from Missouri and loved his junior day visit there.
- I'll have more in-depth updates throughout the week on all those guys along with other targets Stacy Brown, Stacey Wilkins, and 2020 DB Chris Thompson.
