Was watching the beginning of the Ball State - Ohio U game last night and on the opening kick-off the player signaled a fair catch which is allowable under the new rules.
What was odd is that the player dropped the ball which meant that the Bobcats had to take the ball where it was dropped, at the 2 yard line, instead of the 25.
I was not aware of this nuance in that new rule and believe it should make coaches think twice about having their players do that.
