Highlights: Odom agrees with Mike Gundy on Twitter.
On 4th down late in the first half when Kentucky jumped, Mizzou was going for it and had a play called if UK didn't jump
Defense played about as well as it could up till the last drive
Missed blocking assignment on the blocked field goal. Punt return was bad in the moment and even worse watching it on film. "Didn't do a very good job coaching it, didn't do a very good job executing it." Says it was the biggest play of the game before the last two.
On the third and 2, he'd call the same play they called again. Kentucky had nine in the box, had a 1 on 1 matchup with the #1 receiver, run him out and get Johnson open. Johnson ran his route too far down the field. Was supposed to be two and a half yards, he ran it further. "Drew knows that if the throw is there take it. If not, run and get what you can get." So it sounds like the issue was three fold:
1) Johnson ran the wrong route
2) Lock was supposed to run if the throw was open and didn't get it
3) I still don't like the play call because it allows for those two things to happen where if you hand the ball off those things can't happen
"Would not change one thing" in the way DeMarkus Acy played the pass on which PI was called.
On the final play, "Everybody saw it. They know what it is."
"We're better right now than we've ever been and it's not even close."
Emanuel Hall ran at practice last week. Tuesday will be a big day for him and will dictate the rest of the week.
